Unique business opportunity

Ask any member of the United States Military that is stationed abroad what services they want near base and you get the same answer. The lack of food that they are accustomed to always seems to be missing or not genuine. While there are some eateries on base such as Taco Bell or Burger King something always seems to be missing. We have had endless discussions revolving around how much money could be made if someone served food that is found stateside like chicken wings or pizza. There would be an endless turnover of clients due to rotation on and off the base and word of mouth would spread very quickly. From bases in Germany, Japan, Italy, and Korea, there is a huge opportunity to open a successful business catering to our military abroad.

Best Restaurant in Venice

Due to the high tourist volume in Venice it is very easy to get lost in a tourist trap. Everyone who visits wants to experience the authentic Italian cuisine, look no further than the Osteria Antico Dolo restaurant. From the outstanding food to the courteous and patient service, this is one of the outstanding restaurants in Venice. Due to limited seating arrangements a reservation is highly recommended.

Where are the good eats?!

No matter what type of recreation you go on vacation for there is always the inevitable choice of food. I am sick of the guessing game when trying to find a place to eat while on vacation! From not knowing if the meal you get will satisfy you, to being downright scared to eat something; there are times when you wish you had some trustworthy advice.

Train Trip!

Ok here is the story in a nut shell. So I get on a train from Bratislava, Slovakia heading for Kiev, Ukraine. I was told this train ride would be 8 hours long from start to finish. As I get on the train I see that I am placed in a “sleeper” cabin. I use the term lightly since this place was as wide as my arm span and about 7 feet long. You may be thinking that this is pretty luxurious and enough room for a short train ride but it was for three people, not one! Here is a picture of the setup.

I finally find someone who speaks English and asked how long the trip would actually take. My heart sank as they informed me that it was THIRTY hours by train to Kiev!!! I looked down at my supplies and realize that I have only a large bottle of water and a box of cereal for this gauntlet of a trip I am about to embark on. The train stopped at small villages constantly but it was only for five minutes at a time. I could see vendors with food but was too nervous to get off and possibly be stranded in the middle of Ukraine with spotty cell phone service.

While I hated this train ride as it was happening I now look back with a few fond memories. Most of my hours were spent with my head out the open windows of the train taking in the beautiful countryside. What was supposed to be a quick sightseeing trip to Kiev via train turned into quite the adventure. Who knew that the most memories would come from the voyage, not the destination.

Here are a few pictures of the countryside and finally Kiev.

San Andres

The island of San Andres off the coast of Colombia is one of the great unheard-of vacation destinations. Due to limited tourism from the United States the island has the great Caribbean experience without the confining tourist routines. Activities range from jet skiing, incredible local restaurants, outstanding beaches to even renting a scooters or buggies for your own daily adventure. Due to limited tourism the prices are very reasonable, allowing you the chance to take part in more activities than you would be able to at another location. This is an experience you will remember!
